The papers are excellent and really useful, just a touch expensive for what they are. I have been told it is because they are expensive to make the content and not that many people sit the exam like the full GCSE, but still it would be nice to have some support without having to pay too much.
Just received my A level maths papers and they look like the real deal. Half way through pure maths paper and it all looks exactly like the exams do but with all new questions. Good stuff.
I am moving into year 13 next year and as school has pretty much finished I’m working through the cards to finish my year 12 work and get ahead for next year. The cards are good for self study.
Until recently we have been using the old KS3 SATs papers but these are a lot different to the new curriculum, many of the same topics just a totally different style. These KS3 maths papers are a good bridge between KS3 and GCSE, the style of question and level of difficulty feel about right.
The GCSE science cards are a different way to get their attention, and don’t feel as much like work unlike a standard revision guide or heaven forbid a text book. Our daughter in year 9 is using the cards to help her prepare for next year.
The papers were instrumental in helping me pass this horrible, horrible test. The papers look and feel like the actual exam, my only criticism is they did take 3 days to arrive so if you have an exam soon (unlikely given the current situation) I would advise ordering now and not leaving it too close to your exam day like I did. All worked out in the end.
Great cards that are in a well thought out format, not too much info on each card and easy to follow. Practise questions come in handy and generally the cards are a great way to quickly test understanding of different topics areas.
An excellent revision tool for studious students who want to practise their maths and mark their papers. They remind me of my exams from years ago, was nervous just looking at them with my son.
The best resource I found to help me with my GCSE English equivalency test. Would recommend to anyone who is preparing for this exam. The papers get delivered to you with the mark scheme and they really help you to revise the right things for the exam.
As a parent I am always looking to provide the best input for my son, who is entering into his final GCSE year this coming September. He asked me to take a look at this MME site as his friend had a maths paper given from school. Having then purchased the exam papers B,C,D I am pleased to report we are delighted with the quality of the papers and the stretch the back half of them provide. All of the main question types are covered and they offer a really good test for all abilities.
I used the normal GCSE papers and failed, but having used these equivalency papers I felt ready. Got my result back a few days ago and happy to say I passed. I feel so lucky that I got to take my test when I did and now I can relax a little over the summer before my teacher training starts in September!
Finding the right resources for the new A level maths course is a challenge. Although a lot of the old pure, stats and mechanics content is relevant, they don’t cover the same topics and the overlap isn’t as big as it may appear. These A level maths cards do cover the new spec and do so in the right way.
We wish we had found these sooner! Schools closing prompted us to search for some resources to cover at home and we stumbled across these GCSE science cards for all 3 sciences. All three triple sciences covered in good depth. A bargain!
We searched, read and looked high and low for all different types of maths cards and these seem to be the best. They are printed on A6 card with a reasonable font making them legible and easy to work through. The content seems perfect, we are yet to find a typo. Questions are set to the correct level. Only criticism is that the answers to the practise questions do not come with the cards but I understand why, there isn’t enough room for the solutions but easy to access them online.
I am studying for my gcse maths and we are now now at school. Mum bought these for me and pleased she did. Highest rating for the maths papers, they look like my mock did at school and like the past papers and came in a proper exam booklet. Thanks
