All tutors have gone through the mainstream British education system, hold a minimum of a 2:1 degree from a top rated University and either have extensive tutoring experience or have a formal teaching qualification.
Experienced in tutoring
All of our tutors have extensive experience in producing exam standard content; understanding the major exam board specification nuances, ensuring their approach is targeted towards students picking up additional marks in exams.
We give back!
Any excess funds received from the National Tutoring Programme, above those required to operate a first class service, will be reinvested into making additional free resources for all students and teachers to access. We have a 100% free forever commitment and we are not looking to make a profit from this programme.

The following provide some of the most commonly asked questions school leaders and subject leads want to know the answer to at the start of their National Tutoring Programme journey.
How does the NTP funding work?
State-funded schools receive NTP funding in 3 instalments through the 2022/23 academic year to deliver tuition to their pupils. This funding is paid in termly instalments via local authorities and academy trusts. Schools receive 60% of the cost of the tuition to add back into their budgets, up to a maximum of £18 p/h. The amount of funding granted is £162 per pupil eligible for pupil premium. The tuition funding can be spent on any pupil that requires it, not just those entitled to pupil premium support.
How are NTP tuition partners like MME selected?
The NTP selection process involves a rigorous quality assurance process that ensures safeguarding is the first priority as it should be. It doesn’t however guarantee that tutors are UK based and have sufficient qualifications to deliver high quality tuition, so it is important that school leaders ask the right questions and ensure that the tutors delivering the tuition are suitably qualified and have experience of teaching the specific exam board the school uses for the subject in question. MME ensures all our tutors are qualified and experienced in the specific exam board specification they are going to be tutoring.
What is the format of the National Tutoring Programme lessons?
The format can vary from 1-2-1 sessions or group lessons. The tutoring can also take online or in school. It is important during the procurement process you follow the guidance in the DfE NTP portal which ensures you ask the correct questions and outline what type of tuition you are looking for.
How is the MME offering different?
As outlined above, we provide additional intervention on top of the tuition being offered. We are uniquely positioned because of our access to extensive, market leading resources for maths, English and science subjects, especially at GCSE level.
What subjects are tutored through the National Tutoring Programme?
Any subject can be tutored as part of the NTP programme but at MME we are focusing on the 3 core areas of maths, English and science, specifically at GCSE level.
Can I sign up as an MME NTP tutor?
Currently we are not recruiting tutors for the National Tutoring Programme as our in house team are set up and well equipped to offer this service. As we continue to expand our service we will look to hire full time staff members to help with the NTP and the other tuition related work we do with schools. Please come back at a later date to see when applications reopen. You can also visit our MME careers page for further updates.
